The case, which is separate from Vodafone’s long-running $2.6bn dispute with the Indian government over alleged unpaid capital gains tax, relates to the transfer of a call-centre and share options linked to Vodafone’s 2007 acquisition of Indian mobile group Hutchison Essar for $10.9bn.
