The government has recently published a response to the July 2013 discussion paper Transparency & trust: Enhancing the transparency of UK company ownership and increasing trust in UK business.
The response confirms plans for a public register of company beneficial ownership which will record shareholders with 25% or more of a UK company’s shares or voting rights.
