Anti-avoidance rule study group to report ‘this month’

The study group examining the case for a general anti-avoidance rule was set to report to the government by 31 October.

The study group examining the case for a general anti-avoidance rule was set to report to the government by 31 October.

A Treasury spokesman has told Tax Journal that the report is now expected to be presented to ministers ‘some time in November’, and will be published very soon afterwards.

Tax Journal understands that the group, led by Graham Aaronson QC, is unlikely to report this week.
