The Courts and Tribunals Judiciary has announced that the E-filing pilot scheme went live in the Administrative Court Office on 1 October 2024.
This is the external element of CE-File the online system that allows court users to file claims and relevant material electronically as well as link to their case on the case management system. The E-filing service will be available to court users 24 hours a day. A date for mandatory E-filing for professional court users has not yet been set.
Part of the High Court the Administrative Court is particularly relevant for tax professionals in respect of its judicial review function. The Administrative Court Judicial Review Guide 2024 is available here. Guidance is also available for electronic filing in the Tax and Chancery Chamber of the Upper Tribunal.
