HMRC has launched new taskforces to target ‘tax dodgers’ in the jewellery trade in the Midlands and in fast food outlets in East Anglia; ‘tax evasion’ in Northern Ireland; and self-assessment ‘tax cheats’ in London and the South East – people ‘abusing SA fraudulently to claim back money they are not entitled to’.
