HMRC have updated their toolkits on capital v revenue expenditure, national insurance contributions and statutory payments, and property rental. They aim to update seven other toolkits, and publish a new toolkit on business profits – highlighting errors seen in sales, expenses and certain technical areas – by the end of June.
‘It's important to note that if you use the 2009/10 toolkits for your clients’ 2010/11 returns there will be recent legislative changes that may apply,’ HMRC said.
