The Northern Ireland Assembly Department of Finance is consulting on recommendations made by the Independent Fiscal Commission for the devolution of fiscal powers.
The consultation asks whether the Northern Ireland Executive should be provided with more fiscal powers, similar to those in Wales and Scotland and, if so, how those powers should be exercised, which taxes should be prioritised for devolution and how those taxes might be administered. The consultation closes on 29 November 2022.
