Denmark ratifies MLI and Montenegro signs multilateral convention on tax matters.

  • Denmark has deposited with the OECD its instrument of ratification for the Multilateral convention to implement tax treaty related measures to prevent BEPS (MLI), which allows jurisdictions to transpose results from the OECD/G20 BEPS project into their existing bilateral tax treaties. The convention will enter into force for Denmark on 1 January 2020. This brings to 35 the number of countries who have ratified the MLI.
  • Montenegro has become the 130th signatory to the OECD’s Multilateral convention on mutual administrative assistance in tax matters, which is the primary instrument enabling jurisdictions to implement the common reporting standard (CRS) for automatic exchange of financial account information.
