How did you end up in tax?
I transferred from the Ministry of Defence (where I was on the procurement side) to what was then the Inland Revenue on a promotion. I left after a couple of years to pursue a different career path. After about a year I was contacted by the Inland Revenue and asked whether I wished to rejoin the department. I decided to do so and have been working in tax ever since.
You recently moved to Irwin Mitchell. How do you see its tax team developing?
I have been at Irwin Mitchell only a very short time and it is an exciting and ambitious firm. My appointment is part of the firm’s ongoing strategic drive to grow the business. Irwin Mitchell has plans to continue recruiting high quality people and...
