HMRC has temporarily changed the way stamp
duty reserve tax (SDRT) refunds are dealt with. In line with HMRC’s general
communications policy during the pandemic, until further notice taxpayers are
required to email electronic copies of their refund documents to HMRC. An
officer will contact the taxpayer to arrange for repayment by electronic bank transfer.
