Self-employed individuals and members of partnerships who could not make a claim under the self employment income support scheme (SEISS) because of an HMRC error, have been asked to contact HMRC.
HMRC’s updated SEISS guidance asks those who have not been able to make a claim for an SEISS grant due to an HMRC error or ‘other exceptional circumstances’ to contact HMRC by 28 February 2022 explaining the reasons for not being able to claim. Those who made a claim and consider the amount of the grant received too low, are also asked to contact HMRC by 28 February.
