The dirty dozen

Have you ever been watching a TV drama or the news and been so incensed by hearing a repetition of one of the many myths misunderstandings or stereotypes about our world of tax that you’ve felt like throwing a copy of the Yellow Book at the set? I have on many occasions and now have an almost Pavlovian reaction when I hear them – so much so that my husband has removed all my tax books from within throwing range of the TV.

Instead of book-throwing I’ve tried to get all this angst off my chest by compiling a league table of the dozen worst examples.
