HMRC has published details of a series of information events for public authorities on the new UK subsidy control regime which will commence on 4 January 2023. The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is holding a series of in-person and online events for public authorities to explain the main features and principles of the new regime. The events will run in Belfast, Glasgow, Cardiff & Manchester across November 2022.
BEIS previously consulted on draft guidance for the Subsidy Control Act which establishes the UK-wide subsidy control regime. The finalised guidance is expected to be made available before implementation in January.
